About the Organization & Community Impact

The Jumble Store has served Cranford and Union County for decades as the primary fundraiser for the Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield. Proceeds from donated merchandise help fund the League’s community programs, including its Career Closet, which provides free career clothing to women re-entering the workforce, a Teen Closet that assists underserved high school seniors, and a college scholarship program. Historically, the store has also supported assistance for local food, rent and medical needs. For estate donors, the store offers a community-based reuse option in which household goods become affordable resale inventory and the resulting proceeds are reinvested in programs focused on education, workforce readiness and local assistance. Donations also support the League’s broader volunteer mission in the region.
