The Library Bookstore, sponsored by the Friends of Patten Free Library, accepts community donations of gently used books, books on tape or CD, DVDs and puzzles for resale. Donations may be delivered to the Front Street bookstore during store hours, and the current guidance limits an individual, family or group to up to three bags per week. Proceeds support Patten Free Library operations and activities, while some children’s books are also directed to a local food-bank book cart. This is a useful specialty outlet for estates containing clean, saleable books and media rather than general household property.
