The Salvation Army’s Houlton Family Thrift Store & Donation Center is an official donated-goods resale location in northern Maine. The current location page states that donated goods are sold through the Family Store and that proceeds support Salvation Army service programs. The store is open on a regular weekly schedule, making it a potential outlet for usable estate and household property. The location page does not provide a complete accepted-and-prohibited-items list, so donors should call before bringing furniture, appliances, electronics, mattresses, large quantities, or specialty property. Items should be suitable for safe handling and resale, and acceptance may vary with storage space and current needs.

Save a trip! Call The Salvation Army Houlton Family Thrift Store & Donation Center first to confirm hours and that they are accepting what you’re bringing.
