West Feliciana Parish Library operates a Seed Library as a specialized community reuse and sharing program. The official library page states that the seed collection depends in part on donations from patrons and provides instructions for bringing seeds to the library. Donors should place each seed variety in a clearly labeled envelope or container, complete a donation slip, and provide useful growing information such as how the crop performed, tasted, and whether pesticides were used. The library states that it does not knowingly accept or distribute genetically modified seeds. This is a narrow specialty-donation resource rather than a general outlet for clothing, furniture, appliances, household goods, or estate contents. The Seed Library is intended to support gardening, learning, food availability, sustainability, and community sharing in West Feliciana Parish. Executors handling gardening supplies or viable saved seeds should contact the library before making a delivery.
