About the Organization & Community Impact

Full of Promise Thrift Shop is operated in support of Family Promise of Cape May County. The shop describes itself as a place where compassion meets community, with purchases and donations helping fund shelter, meals and longer-term solutions for families experiencing homelessness. It is largely volunteer-run and uses donated merchandise to generate support for Family Promise’s work while also offering secondhand goods at accessible prices. For estate donors, that means a usable household item can be converted into resources that help local families move toward stability and housing security. The program also keeps furniture, clothing, kitchen goods and other material out of the waste stream when they still have useful life, creating both a social and environmental benefit.
